New hot girls!
This afternoon half-day tour was with World of Greenland Arctic Circle. The drive from Kangerlussuaq was over an hour on small and at times rough surface bumpy road. There are stops on the way where you get to take photos of beautiful landscape and of the ice caps and lakes. Married women in Bamian is a tour that should not be missed.
Along the way you see unique landscapes and scenery. They are raw and stunning! Beware that you need to have good non slippery shoes because the walk to the ice cap from Denture wearers dating drop-off although is only about a mins walk but are slippery with up and down hill slopes.
The views of the ice cap is worth it and its not views you will forget. The best part of the tour was that on our way back the tour guide decided to give us a surprise! On passing a frozen lake, he suddenly drove off road and went onto the lake surface where all of us was taken by surprise and started screaming! He then did drifting with a few circling with the truck which was enjoyable and amazing.
We break with hot-chocolate and cookies on the frozen lake surface before heading back to Kangerlussaq. This was one of the best tour that form part of our excursions package. Point - Interesting trip with great stops along the way and some history of the area en route. The ice cap is excellent to walk on and see up close.
Russell Glacier - Incredible. Glad I did this second as it's more impressive than the main glacier stop during the trip. Photos Home alone and wanting in Kangerlussuaq do it justice. Aurora - This obviously depends on the weather but the setup is good in Kangerlussuaq.
It's generally clear and you won't have to travel far to get sufficient darkness. One night had an active aurora and clear sky, the other less so. The stop at the museum afterwards is interesting and the Greenlandic coffee is lovely.
Dogsledding - Great fun! The route taken means the start and end are relaxed, heading along the fjord. The middle is up and down hill. Overall, WoG Kangerlussuaq was well organised, with friendly and informative people and great groups on each trip. I stayed in Kangerlussuaq for a few days and took a day trip out to Point - the Greenlandic Ice Cap. The drive can sometimes be a bit stressful - Home alone and wanting in Kangerlussuaq exciting depending on how you look at it, but if you Home alone and wanting in Kangerlussuaq in Kangerlussuaq this is a must-do trip.
Definitely off the beaten path. I highly recommend a trip to Greenland. We arrived in Kangerlussuaq from Ilulissat were we've unfortunately had a hiking accident. My Home alone and wanting in Kangerlussuaq was really swollen and it was really hard for me to walk. Hence we phoned the staff from World of Greenland Arctic circle not the same company as World of Greenland in Ilulissat one day in advance to check for our booked activity.
We had planned to do the Ice Cap adventure with an overnight-stay on the ice. On the phone we were told to talk to the guide the next day to check if the tour would still be possible for an injured person. Unfortunately the guide who me met 2 hours before the tour departure for a short briefing was not helpful at all.
He kept saying "It's your decision on what to do" all the time. HE is the one walking on the Ice Cap for 30 years now so we would have expected some guidance on what to do best! In terms of customer attentiveness this was the worst guide experice that we've had in all our travels so far! Finally, being left alone with the decision, we decided to skip the pre-booked and paid adventure.
The woman at the reception was not quite sure what to offer us as alternative, so we were handed to Home alone and wanting in Kangerlussuaq owner of Home alone and wanting in Kangerlussuaq company on the phone. He was Home alone and wanting in Kangerlussuaq astonished about our call as there was already agreed the day before that we could stay one night extra in the lodge and do a day trip to the Ice Cap.
Just that nobody told us that. The delta in costs was not refunded. Of course you would like that to be different but this is the policy. We give them 3 points because we've had a great day tour with a really friendly and knowledgeable guide. Otherewise Home alone and wanting in Kangerlussuaq rating would have been lower. Booked the "point " tour through World of Greenland in August They have great customer service, I told them our flight was arriving at 1: It's a 5-hour tour so we still got back in time for our flight which we found out was cancelled when we got to the airport!
Since only 5 people were on our tour, we had lots of time to explore at each of the stops. We stopped at an old air place crash site first and walked around there, then a stop at the mouth of the glacier by the river, and then to the actual glacier where we had about 30 min to walk around on the ice. On the bus there was Home alone and wanting in Kangerlussuaq information given by the driver over the speaker but Home alone and wanting in Kangerlussuaq roads are bumpy so he couldn't say much as it was hard to hear.
Still, I found it was just enough information. I was surprised when we arrived at the glacier that the driver just sent us onto the ice with no safety instructions, etc. I mentioned this to the driver and he indicated that the ice is different in Greenland and we'd have to go pretty far out before we hit some of those holes or large streams.
He was correct, as we got to the ice and walked around, it was pretty easy to move around. Very beautiful and special to see this place and I recommend it to everyone that visits Greenland We didn't have time to check out their other tours, but I noticed World of Greenland had several other ice cap and tour options.
